Hi, I’m Aidan.
I am an Estes Park resident and a Colorado native. You may have seen me around town, walking with my husband, Andrew Hampton, and our two dogs Rosie and Jake. I graduated from Pikes Peak State College in Colorado Springs in 2019. I work at Peak Flooring, Estes Park’s local flooring store, with my husband. I am an animal lover, and I foster kittens with Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins. In my free time, I like to read, play tennis, and ski. But what really matters is:
I want to make Estes Park a better place for you.
If I were elected, I would focus on improving the town’s economy by creating jobs, affordable housing, affordable, high-quality childcare, and increasing tourism during the “off-season”. As we grow a healthier and more equitable economy, citizens of Estes Park will thrive, and the town will have better economic mobility.
Affordable Housing
I have personally met several young people working two jobs in Estes Park, yet they cannot even afford a simple apartment. There is more work to be done. I find it absolutely unacceptable that there are people who work 40 to 60 hours in our town and still cannot afford to live here. It is also important to understand how valuable it is to have our workforce living in town. Besides the fact that anyone working in our town deserves to live here, if our workforce doesn’t live in town, their money goes elsewhere. I promise you, I will fight hard to improve the housing opportunities in Estes Park for working class and middle class residents.
Childcare
Year after year, residents have expressed that they want affordable childcare in Estes Park. Yet, childcare remains limited. Affordable childcare is one of the most effective ways to boost the economy. After all, you can’t work if you have a preschooler at home and no one else to care for them. I propose that our town invest in affordable childcare to allow parents to pursue rewarding careers.
Clean Energy
I would propose that the town of Estes invests in clean energy production by means of wind, solar, and water power. As we increase our investment in these clean energies, we can create high-quality jobs and apprenticeships, opening career opportunities for the members of our town, we can decrease electricity bills for residents, and we can lower our CO2 emissions, to help protect this beautiful earth we so love.
Increasing Town Revenue
Big town improvements require funding. There are several things our town can do to increase the number of visitors during fall, winter, and spring. I propose we increase our marketing budget to attract more visitors during the “off season” and increase the quantity and quality of events in town, to encourage visitation.
What you can do:
If you also think these are important issues, please remember to vote for Aidan Rosenau for town trustee on 04/07/25. A ballot will be sent to your home prior to Election Day.
Make sure you are registered to vote!
Please tell your friends who live in Estes to consider voting for me as well.
